Tomorrow kicks off New York Comic Con (NYCC) at the Javits Center in Manhattan in which we will see for the first time in a long time Doctor Who and now Torchwood guests appearing in a New York convention.

Joining the event along with Colin Baker (the sixth Doctor of Doctor Who) and Doctor Who writer Paul Cornell will be Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper of Torchwood and Doctor Who as well as Gwyneth in Doctor Who: The Unquiet Dead), and director for both series Euros Lyn.

BBC America's Torchwood hour-long panel with actress Eve Myles and director Euros Lyn at NYCC will be taking place on Saturday, 7 February at 4:15 pm in room 1A08. It is to be moderated by Whitney Matheson of the USA Today publication.

Today, BBC America released the official trailer for the upcoming Torchwood "mini-series" titled, Torchwood: Children of Earth coming to television both in the US and UK later this year.

Torchwood: Children of Earth
In one epic story told over five nights the new series, airing later this year on BBC AMERICA and BBC One in the UK, re-joins Captain Jack (John Barrowman), Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) and Ianto Jones (Gareth David Lloyd) who are still coming to terms with the death of two of their closest friends. Despite their pain, they have a job to do. This time they are faced with their fiercest threat to date - one which throws the future of Torchwood and the entire human race spiralling into danger. They battle against the odds but do they stand a chance of saving mankind? Torchwood is executive produced by Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner. The producer is Peter Bennett (Doctor Who). www.bbcamerica.com/torchwood
